Professional

I believe structural engineering goes beyond calculations. It requires responsibility, clarity, and professional judgment, especially when decisions directly affect safety, investment, and long-term performance.

My approach focuses on clear communication, ethical practice, and technical rigor, serving as a bridge between complex engineering concepts and non-technical stakeholders. I work to align architects, owners, and project teams around informed decisions that add value rather than uncertainty.

I am committed to elevating engineering practice through transparency, accountability, and respect—supporting architecture, protecting investments, and contributing to structures that are safe, durable, efficient, and purposeful.

Expert Witness Reports & Litigation Support

Jamundí City Hall, Colombia

(FEC South America, 2021)

I performed a technical inspection of this two-story heritage building that houses the local registry office after a fire caused by vandalism. I evaluated the condition of the structure, identified damages to structural and non-structural elements, and quantified the necessary repair works and restoration costs.

Structural Assessment & Diagnostics

Rama Judicial Buildings, Colombia

(Blueprint Ingenieria, 2023)

I led the structural assessment of more than 120 buildings owned by the Colombian Judicial Branch across multiple cities. The objective was to evaluate the general condition of the existing structures and provide the foundation for a master intervention plan. Most of the buildings were constructed with reinforced concrete systems, though several included structural components in steel and wood. I coordinated the multidisciplinary inspection teams, reviewed technical reports, and ensured the consistency and accuracy of the diagnostic criteria used for structural performance and safety classification.

Structural Assessment & Diagnostics

Echo Brickell, Miami, FL

(FEC South America, 2022)

I carried out the structural evaluation of this 60-story tower located in the Brickell area. My analysis focused on the concrete slabs, columns, and stairwell shear walls to verify their structural performance and detect any anomalies that could affect the building’s stability.

40/50 Year recertification

Terraces North at Turnberry, FL

(FEC South America, 2021)

I assited the 40-year structural inspection and evaluation for this residential building. My responsibilities included assessing reinforced concrete elements, preparing detailed repair recommendations, and developing technical specifications for the restoration of structural and architectural components.

40/50 Year recertification

Sunset Harbour South, Miami, FL

(FEC South America, 2022)

I participated in the 40-year recertification of this residential condominium, inspecting concrete elements such as slabs, beams, and columns, and evaluating structural integrity in areas exposed to coastal environmental conditions.

Parker Towers, Hallandale Beach, FL

(FEC South America, 2021)

I performed a structural inspection and 40-year recertification of this condominium building. My tasks included evaluating exposed concrete elements, such as slabs, columns, beams, and shear walls, and providing recommendations for repairs and preventive maintenance.

Select structural experience

830 Brickell, Miami, FL

(Blueprint Ingenieria, 2023)

Design and production of shop drawings for the aluminum composite material (ACM) façade support system of this 57-story high-rise office tower — the tallest office building in South Florida. My work involved developing detailed support layouts, connection designs, and coordination with the façade contractor to ensure alignment, constructability, and compliance with wind and structural performance requirements for a high-rise building envelope.

The Plaza Coral Gables, FL

(DCE, 2021)

This large-scale mixed-use development includes office buildings, a hotel tower, retail areas, and a six-story podium with shared amenities. I designed the post-tensioned and reinforced concrete slabs, reinforced concrete columns, shear walls, and pile cap foundations for the South phase, which includes an office building, a 22-story hotel tower with a concrete bell tower, and the podium structure. I coordinated closely with Agave Ponce LLC and RBBL Architects to ensure constructability, design integration, and compliance with project

Villa Magna, Miami, FL

(DCE, 2019)

I designed post-tensioned slabs, reinforced concrete slabs, and shear walls for a high-rise residential building in Miami. My work included close coordination with Foster & Partners to address design challenges and ensure compliance with Florida Building Code requirements

Select structural experience

Biocity Grand, Envigado, Colombia

(Fc SAS, 2018)

This large-scale mixed-use development spans over 120,000 m² and consists of five 18-story towers, one 24-story tower, and a multi-level podium ranging from two to six stories. I designed the reinforced concrete slabs, columns, and shear walls for the towers and parking decks, including the amenity areas at the second level (swimming pools, gardens, and recreational spaces). The structures were modeled and designed as concrete moment frame systems with post-tensioned slabs in selected areas.
